CAP For Yarra Glen

Heartland has now partnered with Christians Against Poverty Australia (CAP). We are currently training 7 individuals to become CAP Money coaches. A Money Coach is someone who is trained to help others to teach good financial well-being to all Australians, regardless of their financial situation.

CAP has helped many people in Australia become debt free for more than 20 years. It is amazing how many of us don’t understand how to manage our income. It all can seem fine until troubles come and the real issues of debt are revealed. We all face troubles in life and it is important to understand our finances well before they strike, if we leave it too late we are left in a vulnerable financial state that could take years to overcome. CAP Australia can help people who have reached the end of their rope and people who want to get financially organised to be prepared for the future.

Heartland hopes to make a difference in peoples live in the Yarra Valley. We would love to see people who are drowning in debt have their lives transformed by the simply contacting us for assistance. We also would love to help anyone learn to budget in a way that will prevent financial turmoil.

In the future we will be offering courses for the public to attend. At the moment we can offer online assistance to individuals. CAP training always has and always will be FREE of charge!

Please contact us if you are interested in having a Money Coach help you.

Yarra Glen Carols By Candelight

The 2019 Yarra Glen Carols was a great event. We started the night early with guest singers from the David Jaanz Singing Academy bringing us a great selection of 80’s and 90’s Hits. They are truly talented singers and it was amazing to be able to see them perform.

Our regular Carols event ran longer than usual so we could have a huge selection of performers, singing and dancing, including local schools, some new faces including the Jaanz Singers and Paige Black, our regular singers and the much loved Life Ministry Church bringing the more traditional Carols. And the Yarra Glen CFA brought Santa to the Carols.

We presented the Nativity Story with Sand Art. This was performed and narrated right in front of the audience with live feed video displaying the artwork on the screen.

Tiana Mitchell brought a message of hope through her song and encouraged us to be a part of her performance!

We also had many more food vans than we normally would because the crowd reached 2,000 people.

The committee would like to thank all the wonderful local businesses and community groups that support this event, we would also like to thank every one who came along, we hope you also had a fabulous night celebrating Christmas with your community.
