Playgroup

Heartland has been coordinating the Yarra Glen Playgroup since it’s launch in September 2006. Our team aims to make Playgroup a safe and engaging place where the ‘nought to school age’ children can develop social skills, relating to other children and adults as well as learning to play and share. Each week there is an opportunity for children to be involved in a craft activity, free play with a great range of toys and a story time. While parents supervise, they have an opportunity to enjoy great community with other parents, as well as join the children in some fun games and activities.

Since 2013, in partnership with the Yarra Glen Uniting Church, the Playgroup has been meeting at the Uniting Church Hall 947 Melba Highway, Yarra Glen on Friday mornings from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM during school terms.

Please bring along some morning tea and a drink for your child, and a gold coin donation. New families are most welcome. At the end of each term we have a Family Dinner, this is a great way for the whole family to meet your child’s playgroup friends, often children come to playgroup each week with their grandparents, Family Dinner Night presents a wonderful opportunity for parents who work to meet the playgroup community.
